Xiaomi has yet to announce the release details of its upcoming flagship. However, supposed leaks have already made their way online, reportedly showcasing the new Mi Note 2.

According to Phone Arena, there may be some last-minute changes for the Mi Note 2 before its release. New supposed renders of the flagship have made their way online. Based on the images, one noted improvement is the new dual camera setup for the flagship.

Earlier supposed leaks have mentioned that the dual cam setup for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will have two cameras side by side, much like how dual cam setups have been featured in other flagships. However, new renders have surfaced showcasing an entirely new setup for the Mi Note 2. In the new images, the setup featured had two cameras in a vertical orientation. Should this happen, it will not be the first time that Xiaomi has used the arrangement for its dual cam feature. The same setup has been used on other company lineups, most recently on the Mi 5s Plus and the Redmi Pro.

Xiaomi has yet to confirm if a last-minute change has been done on the Mi Note 2. However, it may be the "surprise" that Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun teased recently. Aside from a design surprise, however, it is also believed that another welcome news for the Mi Note 2 release will be its price tag. Even with flagship killer specs, it is expected that the upcoming flagship will only have a price tag of around $300.

As to what fans can expect for the Mi Note 2, the new flagship is said to feature the step-up Snapdragon 821 processor. The new chipset is paired with at least 4 GB of RAM for the base model, and a step-up version with 6 GB of RAM is also said to be rolling out. In addition, supposed leaks also point to a Pro version, with a massive 8-GB RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. Speculations also list a 5.7-inch full HD display, with a dual-edge feature.
