Xbox seems to be having a hard time keeping up with its competition, as rumors circulate that it does not have enough exclusive games to give players a reason to pick Xbox One. Executive Shannon Loftis, however, thinks otherwise.

Rumors of the lacking Xbox One exclusive lineup of games left Loftis confused since she claimed that Microsoft has a competitive lineup of exclusives this year. She then mentioned titles like "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)," which will be released for the home consoles first and foremost for the Xbox One, as well as Forza Motorsport 7, Super Lucky's Tale, and Cuphead, which are only available either on the said console or the PC.

"In terms of exclusives, I've heard that rumor and I'm a little bit confused because we have a really good lineup this holiday. We've got the most popular game on the planet in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds — the Xbox console is going to be the only place where you can play that. We also have Forza Motorsport 7, which every single year reinvents the racing genre and basically owns racing in the video games industry," Loftis said.

As for early next year, Xbox One exclusives like Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, and State of Decay 2 were mentioned by Loftis as assurance that Xbox One will have a good run in the near future. Loftis also pointed out that Xbox One X enhanced titles are strong enough to launch a new system. These titles include Halo 5, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo Wars 2, Dead Rising 4, Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, and more.

The rumors were perhaps due to the recent string of delays and game cancellations that some Xbox One exclusives have experienced. "Crackdown 3," which was supposed to be released near the end of 2017, was pushed back into 2018. "Scalebound," Microsoft's renowned team-up with Platinum Games, got canceled abruptly. These left some fans and Xbox owners worried that they may not get enough exclusives to justify their purchase of the Xbox One.
