WWE Shane McMahon health updates 2017: Wrestler sustains multiple injuries, not likely to come back anytime soon

Injuries are real in the World Wrestling Entertainment. Just ask Shane McMahon.

McMahon leapt 20 feet from the top of a cage during WWE's "Hell in a Cage" event on Sunday, Oct. 8, aiming to land on the outstretched body of Kevin Owens. The wrestling entertainment company has the latest update on his injury, which comprises of neck injuries and several broken ribs, as a result of the commissioner of "SmackDown Live" landing on a table.

McMahon paid a steep price for the crazy stunt on WWE's pay-per-view event. According to the latest medical update on McMahon's condition, early findings show that he will be out of the wrestling spotlight for quite some time.

The preliminary findings concluded that McMahon will need to recover from a host of injuries, the majority of which he sustained when he landed on the announcer's table in last weekend's wrestling event.

His list of injuries includes neck trauma, alongside multiple fractured ribs and a dislocated shoulder to name a few. These initial reports still need confirmation with WWE releasing an updated statement as the situation develops.

All in all, there are a large number of injuries that happened during "Hell in a Cell" 2017. According to Cageside Seats, the wrestlers who got banged up in the course of the pay-per-view event include Owens, who was McMahon's opponent, as well as Xavier Woods, the Big E, and Jimmy and Jey Uso.

This is not the first time that a WWE superstar did something crazy like this. Reports noted that several others have done the stunt with varying results. The move was originated by Shawn Michaels. Others followed suit like Mick Foley, who did it four times; then Rikishi, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Sasha Banks.

Updated information regarding McMahon's health and recovery is expected in the next few days.
