Ubisoft has uploaded a new update for the newly-released sequel "Watch Dogs 2." However, the update is just a minor patch and not the estimated major update that fans expect will address the major issues in the game.

The patch notes are already up on the developer's website. The new update, patch 1.04, focuses on minor fixes, mostly on the single-player feature for "Watch Dogs 2." While the update is welcome news to fans, the minor patch is not expected to address some of the more common, major issues that fans have given feedback on. One of the most-awaited major updates is to address the glitch on the multiplayer feature of the game.

While the multiplayer campaign is already up in "Watch Dogs 2," gamers continue to report glitches and lags when it comes to online connections in public matches. The bugs have been present as far back as the game's launch, and are also the reasons why Ubisoft has disabled the multiplayer mode when it released "Watch Dogs 2" last week. However, outside of patch 1.04, it is expected that Ubisoft is already working on a major update that focuses only on the multiplayer issue.

The multiplayer glitch may also be one of the reasons that the sequel hasn't been picked up as much as the original "Watch Dogs" game during its release week. Nonetheless, Ubisoft is satisfied with the opening sales of "Watch Dogs 2." Speaking to Eurogamer, an Ubisoft spokesperson stated, "We're incredibly happy with critics' and players' very positive reception of 'Watch Dogs 2,' which should bolster support for the long-term success of the game," adding that, "It is true that first-day and first-week sales for a number of big games, including 'Watch Dogs 2' and titles from our competitors, are comparatively lower than previous versions in previous years."

"Watch Dogs 2" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
