The new "Watch Dogs 2" game is officially confirmed for release this year. According to developer Ubisoft, the sequel will fix the flaws seen in the original game, particularly the online multiplayer feature.

Writing on the US Playstation Blog, Ubisoft editor Mikel Reparaz stated that the new sequel have improvements and tweaks over the original. Highlighting the online multiplayer content, the Ubisoft executive showcased the new Bounty mode for franchise fans.

In the new mode, players will not only play against each other, but may also gang up on another player. Reparaz said, "Offering a big rush of PvP adrenaline, Bounty puts a new wrinkle in Watch Dogs 2's police heat system; cause enough chaos, and suddenly it won't just be the cops breathing down your neck."

In addition to new modes, "Watch Dogs 2" will also introduce new weapons and gears that were not used in the original game. One noted tweak is the use of drones. The Ubisoft editor added, "Drones are an example of what makes PvP in Watch Dogs 2 so special: you've got a lot of new tools you can use creatively. For example, vehicles can now be hacked, meaning you can lure away pursuers with a remote-controlled decoy car, block hunters with a traffic pile-up." Droned can also supposedly be used to thwart other players, and "remotely jack a fleeing target's intended ride just as they're about to reach it and send salvation zooming away while cackling maniacally."

Meanwhile, to highlight the new changes and over-all improvements in the game, Ubisoft is also showcasing "Watch Dogs 2" in the 2016 Gamescom, complete with a new trailer. The video footage shows how the new online multiplayer and PvP feature works in the new sequel. There are also features that were taken from the original game, such as the hacking mode for online fans, where each player may target and hack someone successfully without being identified.

"Watch Dogs 2" is to release on November 15 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
