Although the game has been delayed for weeks on the PC, "Watch Dogs 2" is on track for its Nov. 15 release on consoles, as developer Ubisoft has announced that the game has gone gold.

Having gold status means that the game is ready to go into mass production. However, it is said that while the full-feature game is already finished in development, the "Watch Dogs 2" creative team is still hard at work, as there may be a day one patch for the game. In addition, speculations suggest that the sequel will have a number of major post-launch content, although it will have a staggered release. The planned DLC are supposed to come out first on the PS4.

The game will roll out on Nov. 15 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On the other hand, from simultaneous release, the PC version of "Watch Dogs 2" is now slated to launch on Nov. 29.

Meanwhile, with the November launch, it is also expected that "Watch Dogs 2" will have PS4 Pro support right at launch. Leading to the console's launch on Nov. 10, conflicting rumors have mentioned that even as a showcase game during the PS4 Pro's unveiling, Sony has not mentioned that the game will offer the support from day one. However, Jonathan Morin, creative director for the game, confirmed that "Watch Dogs 2" will offer PS4 Pro support when it launches on Nov. 15.

The sequel has been anticipated ever since Ubisoft confirmed its release, as the original "Watch Dogs" had been launched back in 2014. In addition, the developer has been teasing fans with a number of major improvements, particularly with the design and gameplay. The sequel is the first title without Ubisoft's signature "tower unlock" gameplay, where players previously need to come out and unlock areas first before open exploration. The game also features changes in its playstyle, like introducing stealth gameplay.
