The End Times are coming to PC owners and just for them at the moment, as the developers of "Warhammer: Vermintide 2" have revealed the release date of the game on the PC.

Developer Fatshark has announced that the sequel to the highly acclaimed "Warhammer: Vermintide" will be ready on March 8. Console users will have to wait, however, as no announcement for a console release has been proclaimed yet, though it will likely be declared shortly after the PC release.

Along with the release date announcement, the developers have also uploaded an official release trailer for the game on YouTube. The said video is actually less of a trailer and more of a gameplay video showcasing how one of the classes of the game plays out. In the trailer, the players struggle to keep the forces of Chaos as well as their Skaven ratmen pawns at bay as hordes of monstrosities from the Warhammer universe assault the players' team of four.

Those who have played the two "Left 4 Dead" games from developer Valve will already be quite familiar with the gameplay since they share the same premise and formula, in which a small group of survivors tries to make it out of the map alive through an army of countless abominations that are out to kill them. The only difference is that players will be mostly using melee weapons instead of guns.

In addition to this, Fatshark has also announced a preorder exclusive beta for "Vermintide 2," where players who have bought the preorder deal for the game can participate in the pre-final version testing, letting them experience the game before it gets released and contribute to its development by reporting bugs and problems. This closed beta will begin on Feb. 28. For those who preordered on Steam, the "Death on the Reik" downloadable content (DLC) for the first "Vermintide" will also be bundled for free.

Meanwhile, a regular closed beta for people who want to participate will also be available on Feb. 22.
