'Vainglory' gameplay news: 5v5 mode out now

Even before the Battle Royale-type of games, many popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games have been the top-played games. Mobile game "Vainglory" is one of them but never really had it on par with many other MOBA games in general as it remained a 3v3 mode. However, they have finally added a new 5v5 mode in their most recent update.

MOBAs usually take the format of a 5v5 team match. How "Vainglory" will be adjusting to the new mode is quite minimal as it will really just have four more extra players in every match. There will still be the usual three lanes. This is not quite new as almost every other MOBA have it in this way.

Where "Vainglory" shines best is in the circumstances of each match. Not only will each game be a lot more chaotic, the games can have multiple interesting turns and can have a really long match. Of course, they can even have an even quicker match as well. The best part about this update is the music.

The new mode will come with adaptive music that will depend on how the game is turning out to be on the side of the player. The music was made by the man who also made the music scoring for the "Killzone" games and "Horizon Zero Dawn."

To celebrate this new update and the Lunar New Year, they are having an event where players can get the chance to win New Year-themed skins. It will run from Feb. 15 to 22. As for the pro scene for "Vainglory," the "Vainglory Premier League," it will now shift to the 5v5 format.

"Vainglory" has been out since 2015 and maintained its popularity since then even with just a 3v3 mode. It has always been free and playable on both the iOS and Android. The update has already been rolled out.
