The US Open 2013 tennis tournament men's final takes place on Monday with Rafael Nadal taking on Novak Djokovic at Flushing Meadows in New York.

The match should start at 5 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

This will amazingly be the 37th time these two rivals have met, and will be the sixth time at a Grand Slam final – they have met twice before at the Flushing Meadows final and have taken one a piece.

Most are saying that Nadal is the big favorite to win this final. He has shown some amazing form since recovering from injury earlier this year and has been extraordinary in this tournament until now.

Djokovic, who has won six Grand Slams until now, has said, "With no doubt he's the best player in the moment this year. It's always the biggest challenge that you can have in our sport now. I mean, he's the ultimate competitor out there."

He added, "He's fighting for every ball and he's playing probably the best tennis that he has ever played on hard courts."

The Spaniard has won all 21 matches on hard courts this year since returning from a seven-month lay-off. At this year's US Open he has dropped serve just once.

In the head to head count between the two finalists, Nadal leads 21-15.

Nadal has joked ahead of the match: "I prefer to play against another opponent. Talking about a final, I want to play against a player that I have more chances to win."

He said, "Novak is a great opponent. There are other ones, but it's true we have already played a lot of important matches for our career, so that makes that confrontation special. And when you have the chance to win against the most difficult players, it's true that the victory is more special. But not in a final of the US Open. In the final of the US Open, what's really is important is to win the tournament, not the opponent."
