Travelling Bible Classroom Visits Highland 2007 Festival

Bibleworld SBS Studios, the Scottish Bible Society's latest project and education resource for Scotland, is visiting Aviemore during the Highland 2007 festival, which wraps up 21 January.

As a travelling hi-tech classroom designed to bring the story of the Bible to life, churches are being encouraged to invite the Bibleworld SBS Studios to their area for use by the whole of the community.

"The proven success of our education work means that we are experiencing a great welcome throughout the country," says Elaine Duncan, chief executive of the Scottish Bible Society.

"The Bibleworld concept is a great one that has been well used by hundreds of schools and which has been taken up by other Bible Societies overseas. Indeed, we are being booked as far as a year ahead, so our two experienced co-ordinators are very busy.

"We want to show that we are alive and well and living firmly in the 21st century. We aim to promote the Bible as God's Word for today, and to make it available to all in appropriate and relevant forms. It is important that people have the opportunity to experience the richness of the Bible's story and its place in their culture. Bibleworld certainly can help in that."
