Trans World Radio uncovers lost Corrie Ten Boom devotionals

Devotions written by the Dutch Holocaust survivor Corrie Ten Boom have been uncovered by Trans World Radio and published worldwide in a new book.

I Stand At The Door And Knock includes 40 of the "lost" radio devotions, which were found by a TWR missionary in the Netherlands office who was trawling through the audio archives.

The devotions were originally broadcast between 1966 and the early 1970s in Corrie Ten Boom's native Dutch tongue.

Corrie Ten Boom's story has been told in the international bestseller, The Hiding Place, and was subsequently made into a film of the same title.

The book tells the story of the Ten Boom family's efforts to hide Jews during the German occupations of The Netherlands during World War II, and the sustaining power of God through their experiences in a concentration camp after Corrie and her family were captured.

At the age of 53, Corrie began a world-wide ministry which took her into more than 60 countries in the next 33 years.

TWR's US Director of Strategic Initiative and Partnerships, Tom Watkins, edited the book.

"Corrie's spiritual insights and vivid illustrations remain timelessly refreshing and relevant," he said. "It has been a great blessing and privilege to see this project come to fruition and to share these inspiring writings from a stalwart of the Christian faith."

I Stand At The Door And Knock is published by Zondervan.
