Although both coming out from Electronic Arts, it is said that "Titanfall 2" and "Battlefield 1" will be pitted against each other, as the two RPGs will be released in late 2016.

"Titanfall 2" doesn't have a specific release date yet, but observers are saying that it is expected to come out later this year. Meanwhile, it is hoped that the much-awaited "worldwide reveal" scheduled on June 12 will finally unveil when fans can expect to see the new sequel. Rumors suggest that should the game miss its late 2016 deadline, the latest that "Titanfall 2" will roll out is in the first months of 2017.

Meanwhile, with "Battlefield 1" release already confirmed for an October 21 roll-out, some observers are saying that the two will be going head to head against each other. While both games are under Electronic Arts, the two are on opposite sides of the genre. "Battlefield 1" mainly deals with events in the First World War, while "Titanfall 2" is a futuristic, sci-fi shooter. It is also believed that story-wise, the two will collide, since "Titanfall 2" will also go into role-play. Developer Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that the sequel will be having a single-player campaign feature, which is absent in the original first-person shooter game.

Meanwhile, prior to their release dates, fans also expect the two to have major appearances in the upcoming E32016. Attack of the Fanboy reported that both "Battlefield 1" and "Titanfall 2" will have playable demos at the convention, so fans can get an early sneak peek at the two upcoming shooters. Aside from the two shooters, fans also expect appearances and announcements for other major titles, since Electronic Arts has also confirmed that it will be revealing future projects like the 2017 and 2018 lineups at the event.

"Titanfall 2" will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
