Getting closer to the game's launch, Respawn Entertainment has released a new trailer, this time highlighting the new single-player campaign for "Titanfall 2."

In the new video, the creative team lays out the studio's "vision" on how the new feature, a full-story single-player campaign, increase "sheer variety" to the upcoming game. However, the massive campaign story is only one of the two focuses of "Titanfall 2," the other one being the signature, fluid multiplayer mode. Designer Mackey McCandlish states, "You can get different Titan loadouts and experience the different flavors of Titans in the multiplayer, in the single-player."

Although the single-player missions get some protagonist-focused storyline, the gameplay itself is not only a straight-out shoot-and-progress FPS. The single-player campaign also has a mix of "low-key elements" like simply exploring the "Titanfall 2" world. The footage focused on one exploration option for players — a platformer where the player needs to simultaneously fire at openings or do a double jump in order to clear a stage.

The footage also revealed that "Titanfall 2" will involve brain teasers. Lead game designer Jason McCord hints that there are some missions where players need to solve "light puzzles that actually require you to stop and think about the environment and look around."

"Titanfall 2" is scheduled to be released later this month. The full game goes live on Oct. 28 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Prior to the confirmed release date, Respawn Entertainment also revealed that the game will have post-launch content. One of the intended expansion bonuses will be a free remastered map of fan-favorite "Angel City," a location which is known to be in the original "Titanfall" game. The free map will be added to the multiplayer feature in the planned December update. There will also be "cosmetic" improvements to some editions of the game, particularly in the "Digital Deluxe Edition."
