"Titan Quest" is making gigantic leaps into the console community, as the 2006 game has been announced for the PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch a decade after its release.

Developer Iron Lore Entertainment, along with DotEmu and Demiurge Studios, has announced that the game will be coming to the PS4 and the Xbox One on March 20, 2018, while the Switch version is set to arrive once it is done. Apparently, all versions will also be priced at $30 or £27.

The console versions will also include one expansion of "Titan Quest," which is the first one called "Immortal Throne." Unfortunately, last month's "Ragnarok" expansion is not included and will have to be bought separately. A graphical update to the game is also in order, with the developers pushing for a digital remaster of the sound and graphics in order to make the game up to par with the current generation.

One advantage of the console versions, particularly the Switch, is the ease of multiplayer, which the developers plan to take advantage of with the inclusion of a cooperative (co-op) mode for up to six people. This will allow players and their friends, or even strangers, to play the main story of the game together and even tackle the game's bosses as a team.

Hardcore fans of the title will also be pleased to know that there will be a Collector's Edition which will cost about $120 and which will include the game itself, a special "Titan Quest" notepad, the Immortal Throne expansion, a premium box, and a 9.15-inch classical-era greek helmet replica. This will also be available for PC players.

This move will also pit "Titan Quest" against "Diablo 3," which has been available on the PS4 and Xbox One for a while now. Meanwhile, for the Switch, this is considered as the first isometric action role-playing game (aRPG), unless a lot of other developers follow suit depending on the popularity of the remaster.
