Thor 3 movie: Will god of thunder to call it quits with Jane Foster?

With so many Marvel (as well as DC) superhero movies down the road, fans can't help but speculate on how the characters' intertwined yet still independent stories will unfold. Thor 3 is certainly one of the highly anticipated films.

Even while still promoting Thor: The Dark World last year, Chris Hemsworth already confirmed that he will be reprising his role as the Norse god of thunder for a third stand-alone film, as well as two Avenger films. Also, early this year, it was announced that Kevin Feige will once again produce and that Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost will pen the third installment of the franchise.

Feige told The Wrap, "I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years. His creative instincts have helped shape 'Thor' and 'Thor: The Dark World' at every level of the filmmaking process."

"The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor's adventure," he added.

But fans are eager for morsels of information about what the writers and producers have in mind for the third film. Movie Pilot has two theories on what the third film might hold. Basing their speculations on an allegedly leaked poster, there is a possibility that Thor 3 will involve something called Ragnarok, which could either mean the Asgardian Apocalypse or a cyborg clone that replaces the Asgardian prince.

There is also speculation that Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) will dump Thor in favor of a mortal man, and that Thor will end up being betrothed to childhood friend and ally Sif (Jaimie Alexander).

These are all intriguing ideas that make moviegoers even more eager for details.
