The unexpected death of Will Gardner, one of the main characters in "The Good Wife" shocked viewers this weekend.

The shocking death of Gardner angered fans, who took to Twitter on the death of their favorite character.

The Good Wife promo did promise that the episode will bring shockwaves, but fans did not expect Gardner to be killed off.

The 15<sup>th episode of "The Good Wife Season 5" saw the attorney being shot to death in a courtroom by his client, Jeffery Grant, who is accused of murdering a college student.

In the video below, actor Josh Charles who plays Will Gardner, explains why he wanted to leave the show: "There's been a log of people that have asked me what the reason is that I wanted to leave the show. I thought that I felt that however much that I enjoyed the experience, I was ready for the next chaper of my life. Both creatively and personally."

A sneak peek preview since the incident from the latest episode "Dramatics, Your Honor" provides an insight into what will happen in this week's episode.

The preview for this week's episode "The Last Call" shows Alicia (Julianna Margulies), Peter (Chris Noth), Diane (Christine Baranski) and Kalinda (Archia Panjabi) in the aftermath of Will Gardner's death.
