"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is definitely one of the biggest games to be released this year for the Nintendo Switch. With the game's success, it is not surprising for the game's developers to continue adding more titles to the franchise.

For fans to expect more games from the franchise is quite reasonable, especially with the game's director happily sharing his thoughts about the game's future. "I can't say at this point if it will be in sequels or in continuations, or what form it will take, but I definitely have lots of ideas and lots of motivation right now," said director Hidemaro Fujibayashi in an interview via IGN.

Fujibayashi follows it up with an explanation of how he got those "ideas and lots of motivation." According to him, they previously could not easily add content to their previous games for the past 30 years. Now, with the presence of downloadable contents (DLCs), the addition of features and updates have become much easier for him and the company.

Back then, he says, whenever they have new ideas for a game, they would need to postpone it and just add it to their next game. When making "Breath of the Wild's" DLC, "Champion's Ballad", he shared his realizations about the fun of "raising the world or enhancing the world". This is also considering how this is the first time the company has ever made a DLC for their game.

Needless to say, given this new convenience for them mixed with the success of the latest game and Fujibayashi's motivation and ideas, there will definitely be more content or even new games. Even though he does not reveal where this new content will appear in, a new DLC is likely.

For now, it is probably enough for fans to know that the "Champion's Ballad" is not the last of the new content they will get. Hopefully, it would not take extremely long for them to release or even announce new content.
