'The Flash' season 4 episode 17 spoilers: Barry's life in danger as he teams up with Elongated Man

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will try to foil a burglary attempt in the next episode of the CW's "The Flash" season 4. The Scarlett Speedster is back to work after regaining his speed force, and in episode 17 titled "Null and Annoyed," Barry will confront the remaining bus metas that are wreaking havoc in Central City. Unfortunately for the hero, the meta thief poses a real threat as the promo teaser shows Barry seemingly falling to his death.

"The Flash" season 4 episode 17 will see Barry Allen fighting a bus meta who is using his newfound powers to steal money. The new villain in town's next target is a jewelry store, and the Scarlet Speedster will make sure that this meta will no longer have the opportunity to use his power for his evil ways. According to the spoilers, Barry will be joined by one of the new recruits in Team Flash, the Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer).

The latest bus meta spawned by season 4's big bad, Clifford DeVoe (Neil Sandilands), is a female who can manipulate gravity to steal from other people. The teaser shows the meta thief grabbing a girl's necklace as she is made to float in mid-air. The same situation will also happen to Barry and Iris (Candice Patton), as the meta uses her power to drive them away. Unfortunately, there will be a shake-up at this moment as Barry seems to lose his balance as he tries to secure Iris.

"The Flash" season 4 will enter a three-week hiatus following the last episode. Previously, Barry has lost his powers as a bus meta was able to transfer The Flash's super-speed genes to someone else. It's a good thing that Barry's powers were transferred to Iris, who assumed her husband's role as the Central City's protector. Barry, on the other hand, served as the head of Team Flash as Iris used the speed force to take down the meta villain.

"The Flash" season 4 episode 17 will air on April 10 at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
