In "The Fall's" season 3 trailer, a bloody Spector is rushed to Belfast General Hospital. Staff members Dr. Joe O'Donnell (Richard Coyle) and nurse Keira Sheridan (Aisling Bea) will need all of their talent and skill to operate on and keep the Belfast Strangler alive. Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) can be heard saying that she wants Spector to survive so that he can go to jail.

Last season on "The Fall," Spector was fatally shot by an enraged James Tyler (Brian Milligan). At the closing scene of last season's finale, Gibson grips Spector tight and shouts that they are losing him. Gibson will only be able to bring justice to the Strangler's victims and their families if he lives to spend the rest of his life in jail.

Digital Spy confirms that Spector is alive for the upcoming third season of "The Fall." Because of Dornan's full plate while filming "Fifty Shades Darker," the production schedule for "The Fall" had to be matched with the actor's free time.

Meanwhile, Spector's young and troubled puppet Katie Benedetto (Aisling Franciosi) might be creating a plot to help him get out of the hospital.

Viewers can also expect several new faces on the show. There aren't any reports on who these people will play in season 3, but there are a handful of names coming in. As mentioned earlier, Coyle will be playing a doctor named O'Donnell and Bea will be portraying a nurse named Sheridan. Other new cast members for "The Fall" season 3 are Ruth Bradley, Aidan McArdle, and Krister Henriksson.

Viewers can also expect a shocking ending for "The Fall" season 3. Dornan told Digital Spy, "There's quite remarkable turns in the third season that I really genuinely think people won't see coming that are hugely exciting."

"The Fall" season 3 premieres on Thursday, Sept. 29, on BBC Two.
