'The Big Bang Theory' season 9 spoilers: Sheldon hell-bent on winning Amy back in new episodes

Will Sheldon be able to win Amy back in "The Big Bang Theory" season 9? CBS

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) will not give Amy (Mayim Bialik) the space she needs in the upcoming season of the CBS series ""The Big Bang Theory."

Last installment, viewers saw the couple broke up when Sheldon was about to ask Amy to marry him. They also caught a glimpse of the engagement ring that he was reportedly holding. But as the season came to a close, nobody was privy to the details of Sheldon's almost proposal, much less his plans for a new life with his lady love.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that season 2 will be answering most of the questions regarding this storyline and so much more. In an interview, showrunner Steve Molaro said that details about the ring and Sheldon's mindset going into and after the proposal will be laid bare for everyone to see.

He first revealed that Sheldon is not coping well with the break up, as he does not understand Amy's reasoning. Instead of asking for other's advice, he will reportedly bulldoze her into explaining why she decided to split up with him, which in turn, will make her furious.

"He is a man of science and he's been presented with a problem that he can't just think of a solution for. And it's very frustrating. He's not good at leaving her alone. The one thing she asked for was a little bit of time to think and he's not going to give that to her," Molaro said.

Meanwhile, Amy is said to be reveling in her newfound freedom. But as her ex-boyfriend is determined to muddle things up for them, she is also suffering from the experience. What is interesting to note is that she does not know yet about Sheldon's plan and that he already has the ring. Molaro said they themselves do not know how Amy will respond once she learns about it.

When asked until when they plan to keep the pair apart, the showrunner said that it will be "until the time feels right to change what's happening." Molaro admitted that they do not have a set plan, as they are still "feeling this out."

"Right now, the dynamic has been fascinating and interesting. We're seeing all new colors for both of them as well as the way it impacts the group," the showrunner said.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will premiere on Monday, Sep. 21, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
