In "The Big Bang Theory" season 11, Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) finally kick off wedding preparations in the upcoming third episode as they come up with a date for their big day.

Titled "The Relaxation Integration," episode 3 will see Amy reminding a very stressed Sheldon about his more laid-back side as he worries about their wedding date.

As recalled, Sheldon popped the big question to Amy in "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 finale, and in the current's season premiere, fans finally learned that Bialik's character accepted the proposal. It remains to be seen whether their wedding will be in this season, but showrunner Steve Holland assured it will happen one way or another.

"We are certainly building toward a wedding," he told Deadline in a recent interview. "The wedding planning is going to play a big part in the season so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a wedding before the season was over."

As the abovementioned episode synopsis suggests, Holland also teased that the road to their wedding would not be an easy one. According to him, there will certainly be bumps ahead, and those will be dealt with in the upcoming early episodes.

"Sheldon, in his excitement to make the wedding as perfect as he can, takes it over and tries to overthink every decision," he explained. "So I think planning a wedding with Sheldon is going to be a complicated matter even when he is just trying to make it great."

Meanwhile, the wedding will also affect Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco), whose relationship has been somewhat stagnant. Holland suggested that the pivotal event would bring up questions about this couple's next step in their relationship.

The Big Bang Theory airs Mondays, 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
