Taylor Kinney was at the People's Choice Awards last Wednesday. While his fiancee, Lady Gaga, couldn't be with him at the special event, the actor was accompanied by his mother, Pamela Heisler.

It was a good night for the "Chicago Fire" actor as he won the award for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor, and he told the audience (via the Daily Mail) that while his fiancee couldn't be there, "she says hello and wishes she could."

He also thanked the "Born This Way" singer, saying, "I love you babe, thank you for having my back and supporting me. You inspire me everyday."

At the official afterparty hosted by the Daily Mail, the actor was asked about their wedding plans as the couple has not released any information regarding their special day. The two got engaged last Valentine's Day and Kinney took to his Instagram account to announce that the singer said yes.

"I'll leave it up to her, that's in her court," said the actor to the Daily Mail about planning for the wedding. But while he said that he is also involved in the planning, Kinney admitted that they have yet to set a date for their nuptials.

"We keep on, back and forth on dates, and I think it 'll just be a surprise," said the 34-year-old.

The actor revealed that he spoke with the 29-year-old right after he got off stage, saying that she had a show in Las Vegas and that she wanted to be there with him at the awards show.

Heisler also talked about her future daughter-in-law, telling Entertainment Tonight that she met the singer on a very "somber" day.

"My mother had just passed away and [Gaga] came, and she was just the sweetest thing that ever was," said Heisler. She added that the singer was a "sweetheart" and that she loved her "from the moment I met her."

And while Heisler did not give details about the couple's upcoming wedding, she did say that her own dress for the occasion will be more "subdued."
