A "Smallville" alum is coming to "Supergirl." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Laura Vandervoort, who played Supergirl in the CW drama, will be joining the CBS superhero show as another DC Comics character.

The website reports that Vandervoort will recur as Indigo, described as a "strong-willed, living supercomputer" that was sentenced to Fort Rozz after she betrayed the people of Krypton. Now that she's on Earth, nothing will stand in Indigo's way. Vandervoort will make her debut on the show in episode 15.

Aside from Vandervoort, "The Young and the Restless" actor Jeff Branson will also recur as Master Jailer, a Fort Rozz guard who shows no mercy and is intent on catching everyone who escaped from the prison, bringing them to justice. Branson will debut in episode 14.

Meanwhile, it appears that a "Supergirl" and "The Flash" crossover might become a reality as CBS's Glenn Geller raised the possibility of a crossover at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

When asked by reporters about the crossover, Geller said (via TheWrap), "I have to be really careful what I say here. Watch and wait what happens."

Greg Berlanti, who is an executive producer on both shows, recently told Entertainment Weekly that his teams would need to lock down a plan with The CW and CBS within a month in order to make a crossover happen this season.

"I would love it, a lot of things would have to go right and people would have to say 'Yes'," Berlanti said about the possibility of a crossover.

The producer also revealed that The CW chief Mark Pedowitz has been very supportive of the idea, and while they have talked internally "about how cool" a crossover would be, there have been no official conversations regarding the matter.

"Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8/7c on CBS.
