Super Bowl start time and TV channel 2014: Halftime show performers Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Pepper to perform - Are you excited?

Super Bowl 2014

The 2014 Super Bowl will be kicking off tonight at the MetLife Stadium in East Ruthuerford, New Jersey.

Sunday night's game will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET and will be available to watch on Fox television. A live stream of the game and the anticipated halftime performance will be available to watch online on Fox Sports Go.

This year's national anthem will be sung by opera singer Renee Fleming before the Seattle Seahawks take on the Denver Broncos.

Fleming, 54, is a four-time Grammy winner and will be the first opera singer to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl.

This year, Grammy winner Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be taking the stage for the Superbowl XLVIII halftime performance show.

The halftime show is expected to start some time after 8 p.m. ET. Last year, 104 million viewers tuned in to watch Beyonce's halftime performance in which she reunited with former group Destiny's Child.

Mars, 28, recently tweeted his excitement with a series of photos for his upcoming performance at the year's biggest game. He tweeted photos of him appearing the MetLife Stadium and finally on the field.

The singer is expected to take the stage for about 15 minutes. Songs anticipated during the performance are Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven," "Just the Way Your Are," "Treasure" and RHCH's "Californication."

Sub-freezing temperatures are expected for this year's Super Bowl.

Due to the weather, prices of the Super Bowl tickets have taken a recent dip. Dozens of seats are available for just $1,500 and over 3,000 tickets still remain to be sold as fans opt to watch the game from home rather than braving the outdoor freezing weather that has taken over the East Coast.
