Still relishing moments spent with his wife Joey, Rory Feek ponders 'what story God is using us to tell'

Christian country singer Rory Feek is still trying to move on following the death of his wife Joey.

Writing on his blog, Rory says he and his good friends "talk and share stories and laugh" while enjoying a cup of coffee, and that it feels wonderful being able to do so.

The widower says he has found affinity with his friends because of their faith in God. "Some men are Catholic, some attend a Church of Christ or Baptist church or somewhere else, but they all share something in common... they all love God. And they love their wives and want to be better fathers and men," he says.

Feek says their coffee gathering might seem like an insignificant moment in their lives. However, he believes it isn't because "this is where lives change, where something is said and a path changes."

"In my life, it's never been the big events that change everything ... It's always been the small ones. The ones that you don't think matter. But they do," he says.

During their conversation, Feek and his friends ponder what they are going to do next in their lives and "what story God is using us to tell."

"It might be something heavy and profound – like what Joey and I've been through the last year or two – where you feel His presence and you know you cannot get through a single day without Him. Or it might be something much smaller," he says.

Whatever it is God has in store for him, Feek says he plans to celebrate each moment—the big or the small events—equally "because they are all part of a much larger story that someone else is telling."
