The third season for "Steven Universe" gets a jump-start as the hiatus ends on July 18.

In an announcement from Cartoon Network, it seems that the continuation of season 3 will premiere on Monday, July 18. The episode will immediately follow Steven's adventures after the special "In Too Deep" aired last May.

The July 18 air date is the start of the Summer of Steven event, as writer Matt Burnett hints that the upcoming "mega event" is fast approaching. Another post gave the titles of the upcoming episodes of the season 3, with the first two titled "Steven Floats" and "Too Short to Ride." The two episodes, 306 and 307, have already been confirmed with new promo clips on Cartoon Network. Picking up from the two first episodes, episode 308 is dubbed "Drop Beat Dad" and will air on July 20, while the Thursday edition remains unknown. The Summer of Steven event's premiere week will end with episode 310, "The New Lars."

Meanwhile, although the creative team has yet to tease what the new episodes will be about, speculations suggest that Peridot will have a new love interest. According to Gamenguide, promo clips circulating online show Peridot hugging a green alien. The promo clips are for the first two upcoming episodes, although it is unclear if the scene will happen in the episodes themselves or if a tease on what will happen during the course of the season's continuation.

While it is unclear if the alien is a new addition to the roster, series creator Rebecca Sugar said in a previous interview, "I don't want to give any spoilers, but there will be a lot more about Gem history and Gems in the present and how they feel about what's going on, on earth."
