Both Electronic Arts (EA) and DICE have now detailed what fans can expect to find in the upcoming season pass for "Star Wars Battlefront."

According to Cinema Blend, the game's season pass appears to be quite sizable, containing a variety of new content that should be welcome into the game when they are officially released.

Among the pieces of new content that players can expect to see in the season pass are four new expansions that will each contain four multiplayer maps of their own.

The expansions packs themselves will also be introducing players to entirely new locations, opening up the possibility for the game to tap into other beloved locales of the "Star Wars" universe.

When it comes to expansion packs, new characters are routinely among the most eagerly anticipated additions, and the game's season pass will indeed be providing that as well. There will be four new heroes and villains introduced via the season pass. At this point, EA has yet to reveal who the expansion pack additions will be.

Also featured in the season pass of "Star Wars Battlefront" are four new game modes. The four additional game modes will presumably be divvied up among the expansion packs.

Also being introduced to "Star Wars Battlefront" via the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) and season pass are new pieces of content that will be made up of cards, vehicles, and weapons. Such new content pieces will be coming to both the Empire and the Rebels, although more specific details about what these will ultimately be have not yet been revealed.

According to PC Gamer, the "Star Wars Battlefront" season pass will be available for $49.95, making it among the most expensive ones available for any game. Time will tell if the price will ultimately be worth it.

The cost of each individual expansion pack has not been revealed.
