"Star Wars: Battlefront" Season Pass holders have reason to rejoice as the next DLC, "Bespin," comes early for them. The new expansion is now live as part of the Season Pass pack, while regular players need to wait until Monday for the release.

In an announcement detailing the new DLC pack, developer DICE reveals how the new "Bespin" expansion is closely tied to the original "Star Wars" trilogy, since the new DLC is set on Cloud City of Bespin, where Carbonite-Freezing Chambers come from. As a new expansion pack, the "Bespin" DLC introduces new heroes, locations, weapons, and other in-game items.

Aside from the new gears and features, DICE also confirms that there will be gameplay changes to "Star Wars: Battlefront" with the new update. The developer adds, "As part of the update for the Bespin DLC, we will be raising the level cap to 70 and introduce several new Hutt Contracts for you to complete, with visual unlocks to claim and a collect new Star Cards. As with the earlier release of the Bacta Bomb, we want team play to be a focus in our future Star Cards. This is evident in both our new Asset Cards (the Shock Grenade and the Scout Binoculars), as well as our new Charge Card (Sabotage)."

Meanwhile, Season Pass holders who have already played well into the new DLC already have first impressions for the new expansion and update tweaks. According to Destructoid, the five new maps try to stay true to the design and feel of the classic trilogy. For example, the new Carbon-Freezing Chamber is highly reminiscent of the scenes from the "The Empire Strikes Back" film, while the mode-specific maps also leads to "Bespin" DLC having a mix of old and new designs.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" is available for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The "Bespin" DLC will roll out from its Season Pass exclusivity on July 4.
