Selena Gomez flies into Australia to attend Hillsong Color Conference after split from Justin Bieber

Amid breakup rumors with Justin Bieber, former Disney star Selena Gomez flew to Australia to attend the annual Hillsong Color Conference. The actress was seen at Sydney airport on Monday with a female companion.

Dressed in track pants and white top under a denim jacket, Gomez held a ukulele as she made her way through the crowded airport. She and her friend had huge smiles on their faces and Gomez's hand was slouched over her friend's shoulders.

Reports stated that Gomez would be at the Hillsong conference from March 19 to 21 at the ICC Sydney. Joining the conferences has been a favorite activity for the singer and Bieber even before the worship ministry of the church became a global phenomenon.

But Bieber was nowhere to be found in Sydney this week. It's unclear if the "Baby" singer would fly in as he and Gomez apparently take a break from their relationship, yet again. A source told Us Weekly that the couple decided to breakup in early March because of Gomez's mom.

"Selena's family has put her in a very conflicting spot because they still don't trust Justin," the source claimed. "Selena has tried to convince her family that Justin has changed...but her family just isn't budging right now."

Gomez and Bieber had an on and off relationship from 2010 to 2014. They reunited in November 2017 after Gomez ended her relationship with The Weeknd.

Meanwhile, Gomez and Bieber were both in attendance at the service in their Beverly Hills church on March 7. The stars arrived and left in separate cars, further compounding speculations that they were no longer together. Another source, however, insisted to Entertainment Tonight that Gomez and Bieber haven't called it quits entirely and that the actress is simply taking time for herself in Australia.

"[The couple] do have some friends in common from church, and they hang out in a group with that crew. That's been a really positive thing for them," the insider stated.
