PC owners will now find out whether their gaming hardware will sink or float for "Sea of Thieves," as the game's system requirements have been revealed.

As always, the required gaming hardware is divided into two categories, the usual minimum and recommended specifications for the game. For this game, however, the developers have added another option for those who do not have the luxury of a gaming device, which is listed below.

In order to play the game with all its graphical bells and whistles in 1,080p, the developers of the game recommend a central processing unit (CPU) of Intel i5 4690 running at 3.9 gigahertz (Ghz) or an Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) FX-8150. This should be paired with 8 gigabytes (GB) of system random-access memory (RAM) and a graphics processing unit (GPU) of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 or AMD Radeon R9 380x for "Medium" graphics, while an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 470 might be required for higher graphics presets and 60 frames per second (FPS).

In order to be able to play the game at all in 720p, the minimum requirements are Intel Q9450 or AMD Phenom II, 4GB of RAM, and a GPU of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 or AMD Radeon 7750. This would ensure a framerate of 30 FPS using the "Low" graphics preset of the game.

Meanwhile, for those who do not have the mentioned specifications or something equivalent, or for those who only have laptops, the game also allows for a resolution of 540p running at 30 FPS with a required hardware of Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 or Intel Iris 540 that can be found on regular work laptops. 4 GB of RAM is also needed, and the graphics preset should be set to "Cursed" in-game which is the bare minimum.

All three system requirements also necessitate a Windows 10 operating system (OS) as well as 60GB of free hard disk space for the game files.
