Samsung Galaxy S9, one of the most anticipated flagship phones of this year, finally made its first official appearance at the Unpacked 2018 event last Sunday. There were lots of news regarding the phone during the long waiting period, but one of the last-minute leaks was an official video supposedly to be released during the event.

The official video by Samsung starts by saying that the mobile workforce accounts for more than two million people today. They say that this is the reason they made the Galaxy S9 — to adapt to a growing, dynamic userbase of the smartphone. This is in line with the new tagline they used: "The Phone. Reimagined."

The video then lists the features of the phone. First off, the phone is designed to work smarter with the Samsung Dexpad. With this combo of gadgets, the S9 promises a user experience similar to a PC. This includes context menus and resizing windows. It is also capable of big-screen slide presentation via an external monitor, which can be useful for business reports.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is also optimized for augmented reality (AR), and apps that utilize this technology will have an easier compatibility with the phone. It also has a "live translation" feature that can instantly translate text in the real world by pointing the phone's dual aperture camera at the text in question.

The Galaxy S9 also has features that emphasize data security. One interesting point is that the phone can differentiate between personal and business information. This compartmentalized system of storing data can really be handy when the phone falls into the wrong hands.

The phone is also water-resistant, which means a little raindrop would not hinder one from using the phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will be available for preorder starting in March. It will be sold in stores and online shops starting March 16.
