The Mobile World Congress 2016 will be held in Barcelona later this month. The tech-savvy crowd is gearing up once again for a major tech flagship battle as some of the biggest tech manufacturers are rumored to be unveiling their newest products at the said event.

According to speculations, two of the most anticipated flagship lineups for this year, Samsung's Galaxy S7 and LG's G5, will appear on the same day.

CNET reported that both new flagships will be unveiled even before the MWC starts. Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the LG G5 will both appear on Feb. 21, a day before the event opens in Barcelona.

The MWC will start on Feb. 22 and will end on Feb. 25.

Fans of both South Korea-based tech manufacturers are eagerly awaiting the arrival – or at least a glimpse and some confirmed details – of the two upcoming flagships. Both Samsung and LG have yet to come out with details on their newest products. However, speculations continue to float online about the upcoming flagships.

According to Android Authority, the new Samsung Galaxy S7 is predicted to come out with a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution. In addition, there will be two types of processor for the iteration, a Snapdragon 820 chipset and Samsung's homegrown Exynos 8890. Reportedly, the processor versions will be released depending on the region, with the Exynos 8890 iteration going to Europe and Asia, and the Snapdragon 820 ones bound for the U.S. and China.

Meanwhile, although the LG G5 will carry only one processor version, the Snapdragon 820, some speculations say LG reportedly built the G5 from the ground up. According to Phone Arena, recent supposed leaks of the LG G5 give it some interesting specs, such as removable bottom panels to access replaceable batteries, plus a dual-cam setup for its main shooter.
