Samsung has just released its newest flagship, the Galaxy Note 7. However, it seems the tech giant is yet to complete the roll-out as speculations suggest that a dual-SIM variant may be released soon but only in select regions.

SamMobile came across an unboxing video that supposedly showcases a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with a dual-SIM feature. In addition, the new variant has 128GB of onboard storage, as well as 6GB of RAM.

The globally launched Galaxy Note 7 has 64GB of onboard storage and 4GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, Phone Arena surmises that the top-tier variant will only be available in selected markets such as China. Reportedly, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with dual-SIM and 6GB of RAM has already been listed in a Chine-based certification agency. While it is unclear on when the new version will roll out, having a new variant for the Chinese market is highly likely. According to the industry observer, Samsung has to the extra mile for its China-based fans, since the new flagship lineup faces stiff competition with other tech makers that has already released top-tier flagships, such as the OnePlus 3 and the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. Newly released flagships from Chinese tech makers usually carry 6GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, aside from the RAM and SIM feature upgrades, the rest of the specs for the new, limited Galaxy Note 7 remain the same. The iteration features an Exynos 8890 chipset and/or a Snapdragon 820 processor, and comes with both fingerprint and iris scanners for biometrics. With the same security features, the new variant also supports Samsung Pay. It also comes out with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box, though it is said that it will immediately update to Android Nougat once the full version is released.
