Samsung Galaxy Note 6 specs, features, release date rumors: 6GB RAM plausible for new flagship?

Fans are now waiting for Samsung's next flagship, the Galaxy Note 6. Speculations say that the new phablet will offer massive improvements over previous iterations, including a 6GB RAM.

However, some fans are skeptical about this supposed feature. Is a 6GB RAM for a mobile device really plausible?

According to recent news, it is. Phone Arena reports that there is already an official flagship carrying 6 GB of RAM, coming out of China. The industry follower stated that Vivo's Xplay 5 has just become official, and it is officially the first smartphone released with a massive RAM capacity. Aside from the 6GB RAM, the new iteration also carries a Snapdragon 820 and Quad HD display.

Meanwhile, GSM Arena reported that in addition to the Samsung Galaxy Note 6, other tech manufacturers are also upping the ante and and are rumored to be coming out with their own 6GB RAM flagship beasts. The observer noted that another China-based manufacturer, Meizu, is set to launch its own 6GB RAM wonder, the upcoming Pro 6. The new Meizu Pro 6 will reportedly come out with two variants – a premium version with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, and a base model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage.

Since more flagships are reported to be joining the 6GB RAM bandwagon, it is highly plausible that Samsung will really launch the Galaxy Note 6 with a massive RAM capacity. The upcoming flagship is one of the crown jewels of the South Korea-based tech giant, and Samsung will most likely prepare the new Galaxy Note to be a contender on a new level of the smartphone flagship war.

Aside from a 6GB RAM, the Galaxy Note 6 is also rumored to come out as a phablet-laptop hybrid, complete with its own dock.
