Closer to its supposed release, it is said that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy C9 is expected to have a global rollout since an FCC filing has been spotted for the device.

According to SamMobile, an upcoming Samsung handset has been filed for certification at U.S. authority FCC. While being unnamed, the said device features the model number SM-C9000. The industry follower believes that this points at the rumored Samsung Galaxy C9. Having an FCC certification then hints that the new iteration will be launched in the U.S. market, and may even have a global release.

Having a global launch for the device is certainly possible. While it is expected that the Samsung Galaxy C9 will be launched in China, its region exclusivity is said to be a timed exclusive only. The South Korea-based tech giant has already done this in the past. When the current Galaxy A-series was released, it also launched as a China-exclusive device, and then Samsung started a staggered global release for the lineup iterations.

As to what fans can expect for the Galaxy C9, it is said that the new iteration will be a mid-range phablet with at least a 6.0-inch display. This makes the upcoming iteration the biggest in the series, after the Galaxy C7's 5.7-inch screen. Under the hood, the Galaxy C9 is expected to run on a Snapdragon 625 chipset, a flagship-tier 6 GB of RAM, and a massive 4,000 mAh battery. Speculations also suggest that Samsung will position the iteration as a selfie phablet, with both rear and front cameras featuring a 16-MP setup.

Meanwhile, it is also said that aside from the Galaxy C9, Samsung will also be adding at least two other iterations in the lineup. Speculations suggest that the current devices in the series will get a Pro version. It is unclear how the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro will differ from their base versions, although it is expected that specs and features will get minor upgrades.
