Although Samsung may be focusing on its flagship schedules for next year, speculations suggest that the mid-range lineups will also get their 2017 counterparts as supposed details for the new Samsung Galaxy A-series iterations were leaked online.

Previously, an exclusive by SamMobile has allegedly confirmed that 2017 editions of the Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7 are already in development, as the new lineups are already up for testing in India.

Meanwhile, recent reports stated that the new series may have already undergone testing since most of the supposed specs have already been spotted in different benchmark websites. For the 2017 Samsung Galaxy A3, GFX Bench has reportedly listed the new version to have the same 4.7-inch display as its current-gen counterpart. The new iteration also features 2 GB of RAM with 8 GB of onboard storage, as well as 12-MP camera on the back and an 8-MP front shooter.

Meanwhile, the 2017 Galaxy A7 is deemed to be one of the above-average iterations in the lineup. According to GSM Arena, one noted new feature for the upcoming iteration is that the 2017 Galaxy A7 is supposed to get a 16-MP selfie camera, the same setup as its 16-MP main shooter at the back. If this turns out to be true, it will be a massive improvement over the 5-MP selfie shooter in the current-gen Galaxy A7. The rest of the specs include a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of onboard storage.

As for the Galaxy A5, improvements on the new iteration include a newer Exynos 7880 chipset. It will have a 5.2-inch display and 3 GB of RAM.

Although the three new iterations will roll out next year, it is said that the new lineup will still run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of their boxes. However, being new releases, Samsung may include the new lineup for an upgrade to the newer Android Nougat platform.
