Sadie Robertson says girls should stop trying to be a 'trophy' for 'hot guys' and focus on God instead

Still fresh from her break-up with longtime boyfriend Blake Coward, "Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson is now dedicating her time to inspiring young girls not to obsess over their physical appearance and instead focus their love and attention on God.

"Girls, pause for a second. Instead of worrying about the separation between your thighs, you need to be worrying about the separation between you and God because that's what matters," she said in a YouTube video entitled "Real Stories Real People."

Even though the "Live Original" teen has been blessed with good looks and a tall, slim figure, she confessed that she used to struggle with body issues as well.

"I can remember a time where, for a long time, I was really insecure about my body," she said. "One day I was so tired of it, I remember I was looking in my mirror...and I was like, 'God let me see myself for how you see me.'"

After making that plea, things finally changed for Robertson. Instead of worrying about how to be a "trophy" for "hot guys," the reality star focused on being a trophy for God.

"I'm looking at all of the negative, but when God showed me my worth, it wasn't anything that was in the mirror it was in my heart...be content and see yourself for the worth that you are," she said.

This is not the first time Robertson talked about overcoming body insecurities. She earlier posted on her Instagram account (@legitsadierob), "We worry so much about what we put in our mouth. We are so on guard about what we put in our mouth so that we will look good on the outside."

"Why don't we do that with our hearts?" she questioned. "We will diet from gluten, carbs and sugar from our mouth, but we won't guard our hearts from hatred, jealousy, negativity and gossip. Maybe instead of spending all of our time worrying about what's going IN our mouth we should start worrying about what's coming OUT of our mouth. That starts with your heart. That's what's going to make a difference in your world."
