Ryan Reynolds said he learned to love his wife more after giving birth to daughter James

Hot Hollywood couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have warmed up to parenthood pretty fast ever since the arrival of their daughter James, and Reynolds says that he actually learned how to love his wife more from the moment she gave birth.

"When that happens you fall so much more in love with your partner. It's a pretty crazy experience," he admitted to E! News. "What blows my mind is that it's so common yet it's so profound at the same time. Something so many people do."

Things have turned topsy turvy for them since James arrived, and there have been times when Reynolds says he would be walking around then fall asleep without knowing it.

It takes a lot of energy caring for a baby, but the actor is not complaining.

"You love it," he said. "You wake up in the middle of the night, you got a big stupid smile on your face. I was telling someone else that. Anything else that woke you up every 45 minutes, you'd kill it. But when it's a baby, it's the best thing that ever happened to you."

That is why it is beyond Reynolds how anyone can resist missing his son or daughter's birth, just like his character Randy in Woman in Gold, who chose to resolve a court case rather than witness the arrival of his child. But as for Reynolds, "wild horses and several bulldozers" would not be enough to keep him from the birth of his child.

His wife Lively has praised her husband's involvement in taking care of the baby. While some fathers are reluctant to change diapers and lose sleep over their infants, she does not have that problem with Reynolds. "I think it's pretty even at our house," she said about their diaper-changing duties.

Lively gushed that James is the best thing that has ever happened to them, and they feel closer now because of her than ever before.

"It's the thing that binds us all—family. We have very unique jobs for a living, but we all are a part of someone's family. It's a nice thing," she said.
