"Rise of the Tomb Raider," the action-adventure video game starring Lara Croft, just got a Virtual Reality (VR) chapter. Called "Blood Ties," the new chapter lets the players experience the Croft Mansion through the eyes of the young Miss Croft.

The hour-long story will follow the main character Croft as she returns to her ancestral home. As she wanders in and explores the long corridors and numerous rooms, she will uncover a mystery that has haunted her family for generations.

The chapter was first released as part of the 2016 PlayStation 4 (PS4) port of the game. It can be bought as part of the PS4 bundle or as a separate downloadable content (DLC) for $10.

Now, "Blood Ties" is included in the 20-Year Celebration Pack for the PC. This bundle commemorates the 20-year anniversary of the action-adventure franchise. It is free to download for those who have the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" Season Pass, as well as owners of the 20-Year Celebration edition of the base game.

Players who own the standard version of the game can purchase "Blood Ties" separately as part of the 20-Year Celebration Pack.

"Blood Ties" is playable with both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" was first launched for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 in 2015. It later got ported to the PC and PS4 in January and October of 2016, respectively.

The game is a sequel to the 2013 video game "Tomb Raider," a game that served as a reboot of the franchise. In it, players take control of Croft as she explores Siberia to search for the ruins of Kitezh. The gameplay is presented in third-person and focuses on real-time combat and survival.

The PC version of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is available on Steam for $29.99. The Season Pass is worth $14.99.
