It has been a very challenging year for Kim Richards. Earlier this year, during the fifth season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," some of the ladies questioned her sobriety when she appeared to be not quite herself, and later, she admitted to taking one of her ex's pain pills as an explanation for her odd behavior.

In April, she was arrested for resisting an officer and battery, and she checked into rehab after her arrest. Things seemed to be looking up for her after leaving rehab but she was arrested again in August, allegedly for shoplifting at a Target in Los Angeles.

But her sister Kyle Richards recently told People magazine that Kim is doing well.

"She's doing really well—she's doing really well right now," said Kyle to the magazine at the Global Lyme Alliance in New York City.

It also appears that the two have recently mended their relationship. In season 5, the sisters famously fought over various reasons, but on Sept. 20, Kim took to Twitter and wrote, "Spent some fun quality time with my sister @kylerichards…Life is good." She also included a link to an Instagram picture of the sisters, which shows the two of them sitting together.

It was reported that Kim will not be returning for the sixth season of the Bravo show to focus on her health and sobriety. Meanwhile, Kyle is expected to be back on the show along with Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson, Yolanda Foster, and new cast members Erica Jayne and Kathryn Edwards.

Kim regularly takes to Twitter to post uplifting messages to her fans. On Oct. 5, the star wrote, "Motivational Monday, Wishing you all an amazing week. Positive life…positive mind."
