It has been almost eight years since the first "Red Dead Redemption" title, and there has not been an official release date for the sequel yet. Multiple delays last year caused fans to be worried. However, one game retailer apparently listed the game and even placed a specific date that was not officially announced.

One Danish retailer named Coolshop has listed "Red Dead Redemption 2" with a release date of June 8, 2018. Since then, the news of the leaks has spread throughout social media, and many fans are wondering if it will indeed be released during that date.

While it may seem unbelievable for a local retailer to be listing a leaked date, the shop apparently has a reputation of leaking games months before its release. The retailer previously leaked "Grand Theft Auto V" (GTAV) for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Some Twitter fans even mentioned how they have also leaked two big updates for "GTA Online" as well.

Since its discovery, the Danish retailer has now switched the release date back to just "2018." It is not yet known whether it was an accidental reveal or just a randomly entered date to confuse fans. However, it still is not that far from what publisher Rockstar Games has mentioned in their blog post.

"Red Dead Redemption 2 is now set to launch Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans... We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready," reads the official statement by developer Rockstar Games.

Since then, they have not released anything else, let alone a confirmation for the leak.
