Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund is one of two massive Champions League games taking place on Wednesday night, as the Spanish giants look to navigate their way past a German side that has proven it can mix it with the best over recent seasons.

Tonight's big game will kick off at 7.45 p.m. BST (2.45 p.m. ET) and can be watched online through live stream – free for subscribers – via the link provided below.

In team news, Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly said that British star, Gareth Bale, will not replace Marcelo at left-back for this Champions League quarter-final. Even though Marcelo misses tonight's game with a hamstring injury, Real will opt to use Fabio Coentrao instead of Bale as a replacement there.

Fans will remember that Dortmund knocked out Real in last year's Champions League competition, and in that tie, Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski scored four goals in the first leg. However, he is suspended for tonight's game and will be a big absentee for the German side.

Dortmund are suffering team problems at the moment, and have a further five players out with injuries right now including defenders Neven Subotic and Marcel Schmelzer, and midfielders Sven Bender, Ilkay Gundogan, Jakub Blaszczykowski.

Real boss Ancelotti is not taking the opposition lightly today: "Borussia Dortmund are very dangerous on the counter-attack and it is clear we have to play an offensive match because we need a positive result, but we need to be very careful of them on the break."

Much of the spotlight at Real this season has been on record signing Gareth Bale, and even though most pundits admit he has done well, some have criticized him for a lack of impact in the team's biggest games.

Ancelotti has said, "I think it is true he is a little intermittent, but that is a characteristic of all forwards and especially very quick players. Players with that speed can't have a continuous influence like other players with different characteristics like Xabi Alonso. His inconsistency is a physical characteristic of the player, like Cristiano Ronaldo or Karim Benzema. It is not an attitude problem."

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund will kick off at 7.45 p.m. BST and can be watched online by clicking here.
