Prince Harry will turn 30 on Sept. 15, but prior to his birthday, he had been focusing on the Invictus Games in London, which started last Sept. 10 and closes on Sept. 14. The games, which is sponsored by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, is a sporting event for military service personnel who were wounded or injured during their service.

The younger son of The Prince of Wales and the late Princess Diana was inspired to start the games in the UK after he watched the Warrior Games in Colorado last year.

In a statement in the royal family's official website, Prince Harry said:

"I have witnessed first-hand how the power of sport can positively impact the lives of wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women in their journey of recovery.

"The Invictus Games will focus on what they can achieve post injury and celebrate their fighting spirit, through an inclusive sporting competition that recognises the sacrifice they have made.

"I am extremely proud that we are bringing an event like this to the UK for the first time and believe it can have a long lasting impact on the well-being of those who have served their nations so bravely."

It is known that Prince Harry and Prince William, both military officers, support projects that inspire the men and women in the Service. Only recently, Prince Harry ventured to the South Pole for the "2013 Walking with the Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge."

As for turning 30, he told iTV News in an interview, "I'm slowly starting to feel old. I think 30 is one of those first milestones when you drive through a village and see the 30mph sign. It's that constant reminder going 'I am actually quite old.'"

The prince is considered as one of the world's most eligible bachelors. Aside from being a prince, a pilot, a humanitarian, among many other things, he is also allegedly unattached at the moment. Furthermore, he gets to access his inheritance from his late mother's estate – one that was split between the brothers after her death but was left in trust – adding a speculated amount of around 10 million pounds to his personal assets.

Nevertheless, he added, "But I don't feel too old. I think I'm always young at heart."

Perhaps this, more than anything else, is what endears him to the public.
