'Preachers of LA' Season 2 premiere date: Mega-pastors to return in August

"Preachers of LA" is a show unlike any other, from its plot to its major characters. In this successful Oxygen reality TV series, not only does it give viewers an idea of what a pastor's life is like, the show also inspires and impact the viewers' lives in a positive way.

According to Huffington Post, "Preacher of LA" is the most watched series from the Oxygen network. And Oxygen has confirmed that the show will indeed be back for season 2. This isn't really a shocker after the very successful ratings of the first season.

The 2nd season will bring together the six "mega-pastors" in LA, namely Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Ron Gibson, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Minister Deitrick Haddon, Pastor Wayne Chaney and Pastor Jay Haizlip. What will be seen in season 2 then? "Season two is full of self-discovery and change with growing families and ministries, incredible women of strength beside them, and ever-changing relationships," says Oxygen.

In the press release, Oxygen Media Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development Rod Aissa stated that "Preachers of L.A' is powerful, impactful and touches viewers' spirit. These six men of God and the amazing women alongside them are brave and transparent about their journey in life, which is why it resonates so well with Oxygen's young, female audience."

"Preachers of LA" season 2 will premiere on August 20, 10 p.m. ET. But before season 2 debuts, there will be a two-part special on July 23, 10 p.m. ET. The special episode will be hosted by Destiny's Child Member, Grammy-award winner and mentor of Oxygen's "Fix My Choir" Michelle Williams. The two-part episode will highlight each member as they look back on their trials and triumphs in the first season.
