Little details about "Poldark" season 4 are now revealed, thanks to its production company, Mammoth Screen, and its cast members' social media pages. Since the BBC One's television series has been renewed and its first table-read has already commenced in August, the show is now in production and is hinting at what the future holds for the show.
Recently, in a behind-the-scenes clip, Josh Whitehouse teased his return as Hugh Armitage in the drama series' fourth installment. From the looks of it, the actor is getting ready for his sequence. "Becoming Hugh again," he captioned the video.
Fans will also see the return of Geoffrey Charles in "Poldark" season 4, only this time, he will be played by a different actor. Louis Davison replaces Harry Marcus to play the more mature role of Francis Poldark (Kyle Soller) and Elizabeth Warleggan's (Heida Reed) son after he was sent to a boarding school by his stepfather George Warleggan (Jack Farthing).
According to reports, Geoffrey's character has been recast to show his grown-up self. This, too, hints that the television series will be featuring a time jump, although it is not yet revealed if the season will show Geoffrey as a graduate or not.
Meanwhile, in "Poldark" season 4's behind-the-scenes photos, there is a big possibility that Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) and her husband Ross (Aidan Turner) will be rekindling their romance after their separation. The two are seen walking along Cornwall beach, they stop, share an embrace, and engage in a kiss. Now the big question is: Has Demelza already left Lieutenant Hugh Armitage (Josh Whitehouse) or the scene is just part of the couple's brief moment together?
BBC One has yet to announce "Poldark" season 4's official release date, but writer Debbie Horsfield hinted that it might be out in the summer of 2018. "I think it has held its own over the summer and so I am guessing that -- and it is a guess -- that there's no reason to change that," she said.
