'Pokémon GO' update: Eggs to hatch Pokémon from Hoenn region for a limited time

"Pokémon GO" is on a roll this month.

Niantic Labs, the developer of the game, announced last week that they would be adding 23 more new Generation 3 Pokémon. On the same day, "Pokémon GO's" official Twitter account posted that all eggs collected between Jan. 23 and Feb. 1 would contain a Pokémon from the Hoenn region.

The tweet comes with a video clip of an egg hatching to become a Pokémon from the said region. All of the eggs collected, regardless of where it is fetched, where the player is located and what kind of incubator is used, will yield a Generation 3 Pokémon.

The eggs in the game are acquired whenever a player travels. In order to hatch the eggs, one must put them in incubators that cater to the eggs' needs. The kind of incubators used determine the time it will take for eggs to hatch — the more expensive the incubator, the faster it will take.

Speaking of incubators, "Pokémon GO" also has Special Incubators on sale. These Special Incubators, according to Comic Book, will decrease the distance needed to hatch an egg by 67%.

In the same article, Comic Book also gave a list of the Generation 3 Pokémon that were confirmed to have come from collected eggs starting in Jan. 23. Some of the Pokémon included in the list are Poochyena (2 KM eggs), Nosepass (5 KM eggs), Torchic (5 KM eggs), Ralts (10 KM eggs) and Trapinch (10 KM eggs).

"Pokemon GO" just concluded its first-ever Community Day event, and a shiny surprise gave fans a lot of excitement. Pokemon GO Niantic Labs website

Meanwhile, according to Eurogamer, the next "Pokémon GO" Community Day will be on Feb. 24. Community Day allows players to catch rare Pokémon and next month, the focus will be on "Dratini with unique moves." The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. GMT in the United Kingdom and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. CET in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. In North America, South America and Greenland, it will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PST and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST. As for Asia Pacific, the Community Day will be from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. JST.
