Although it is still the middle of September, some observers are already predicting that Sony will finally mix triple-A titles for the October games list in the PlayStation Plus program.

According to PlayStation Universe, one major title that may finally make it is "Killzone: Shadow Fall." The triple-A title has already enjoyed at least two years' worth of fan base, being launched in 2013. In addition, having the first-person shooter is not the first that was included in the PS Plus list for the franchise since "Killzone: Mercenary" was previously included in the PS Plus free games list for the PS Vita.

Meanwhile, ThisGenGaming is positive that Sony will look for a tie-in game for its October games list for the program, and "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" is already a shoo-in. The classic triple-A game, if included in next month's PS Plus program, will serve as a refresher for fans who will likely get the "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Edition" when it comes out for the PS4 next month. The industry follower also listed "Killzone: Shadow Fall" as one likely triple-A title on the October list, showcasing the game as a fan-favorite for a forthcoming PS Plus inclusion.

Having triple-A games mixed with the monthly PS Plus free games list is being requested by fans each month. However, Sony remains furtive on its monthly games cycle, and only announced its upcoming PS Plus games line at least days before the forthcoming month. Fans are comparing the recent PS Plus games lists to its rival, Microsoft's Xbox Games with Gold — the latter mostly wins with its games roster. Although Microsoft also announces its upcoming games list at the last minute, fans are satisfied with the selection since there are higher chances that the Games with Gold choices include triple-A games. In addition, Microsoft also has a backward compatibility program for the Xbox One, which means that current-generation console players also get to play Xbox 360 titles which are included in the games list.
