Accessories for both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One have gone on sale before the release of the gaming consoles.
Amazon, Gamestop and Bestbuy are selling the Dualshock 4 wireless controllers for the PS4 for $59.99. Microsoft is selling its own Xbox One controller on its site for $59.99. It is currently available for pre-order on the Microsoft Store, along with the Plug and Play rechargeable battery pack for the controllers for $24.99.
Pre-orders for both the PS4 and Xbox One went live in June and initial pre-order sales showed that the Playstation 4 was outselling the Xbox One.
The official release dates of the PS4 and Xbox One have not been announced, but are both slated to be released in time for the holiday season this fall.
However, latest rumors regarding the PS4 release date suggest that Sony may release the console in mid-December, two weeks after Microsoft.
According to GottaBeMobile, the Toys R Us UK website listed the release dates for the console. The Xbox One was listed as November, while the PS4 was listed as December 13, 2013. This would mean that the PS4 will not be available for shoppers who wait to buy their big items on Black Friday, scheduled a day after Thanksgiving. However, it is highly unlikely that Sony will release the Playstation 4 after Microsoft.
The PS4 pre-order sales have been strong, prompting Sony to increase its internal forecast for the console.
Meanwhile, the Xbox One is rumored for a November 29 launch.
Gamers will be looking to treat themselves to one of the two consoles, with each coming with its own perks and exclusive games.

PRICE:
The first fact to take into consideration is the official prices of the consoles, which were revealed earlier this week.
The Xbox One will go for sale with a price tag of £429 while the PS4 will be offered to customers considerably cheaper at £349.
HARDWARE SPECS:
The Xbox One comes with a custom eight-core x86 CPU, 500GB Hard drive, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, USB 3.0, HDMI in and out ports, and WiFi.
The Sony PS4 will feature a single-chip eight-core AMD "Jaguar " x86-64 APU with a Radeon based graphics engine, 8GB of GDDR5 RAM and a Blu-ray optical disc drive.
Sony beats Microsoft by packing the 8GB DDR5 RAM opposed to Microsoft's DDR3 RAM.
Both consoles use AMD's custom graphic processor.
Microsoft has not officially released the official specs of the Xbox One GPU, but it is expected to be 30 percent weaker than the PS4. According to Gamechup, the PS4 GPU can provide 1.84 teraflops of power, while the Xbox One is rumored to have 1.24 teraflops.
DESIGN AND CONTROLLERS:
The design and controllers of the consoles have both been refreshed.
The Dualshock 4 controller for the PS4 is slightly bigger than its predecessor with its touchpad and easier gripping.
The Xbox One's controller has only slightly been changed from the previous controller, which was already a success among gamers.
