Three new Archdeacons have been installed by the Diocese of Southwark to serve in the Croydon and Woolwich Episcopal Areas.

The Venerable Christopher Skilton, the Venerable Alastair Cutting and the Venerable Dr Jane Steen were installed as Archdeacons of Croydon, Lewisham & Greenwich and Southwark respectively.

They were installed by the Bishop of Southwark, the Right Reverend Christopher Chessun, during Choral Evensong in Southwark Cathedral on Sunday.

During his sermon, Bishop Chessun said the Southwark Diocese was "blessed with the quality, skill and abilities of our Archdeacons and as the team grows again towards full strength the particular gifts, experiences and insights offered by Jane, Alastair and Chris, which are considerable, will be a blessing to us all".
