Pastor Donnie McClurkin from Perfecting Faith Church in Freeport, New York and his girlfriend Nicole C. Mullen definitely have plans of "getting married" in the future. However, Mullen has clarified that they are not yet engaged.

During Mullen's Periscope Bible study on Monday, she said they are "definitely on the road to marriage," but no proposal has been made yet.

"There's a protocol that both he and I want to honor. So, are we officially engaged? No," Mullen said. "Are we on the road to marriage? Yes."

Mullen's response came after McClurkin appeared on the show "Praise The Lord" hosted by Matt and Laurie Crouch. Several times during the show, Matt announced that "Donnie McClurkin's getting married."

"Are you ready for something? Can I just drop something on you," Crouch asked the audience. "Donnie McClurkin's getting married!"

His co-host Laurie then asked the Grammy Award-winning gospel singer, "Are you officially making that announcement and is it okay with you? Do we need to edit this?"

McClurkin did not directly answer her question, and simply revealed how much he values marriage. "Honestly, the only thing in my life that is missing is marriage," he said. "The only thing that's missing out of everything that I'm doing locally, cross country and globally is that aspect that makes family, family — is that wife that would make a man whole, that essence, that element that brings favor to man."

After his girlfriend responded to the announcement made on the TBN, McClurkin also told his friends and fans on Periscope that he has to observe proper protocols before proposing to Mullen, such as counselling.

"I've fallen in love with Nicole and we're talking daily, and any plans that we're making have not been officially established. I have never given her a ring. I didn't propose to her officially and there have been no official statements made at all," he says.
